There’s a tree just up the road that I can see out of the study window, and I often take photos of it, so I now have a portrait of it all year round. My series of photos is not quite as in-depth as this one by eirikso, but it’s nice.

  4. What a wonderful way to deepen connection to place, by focusing on one specific tree through the year. I love this!

  5. Gorgeous tree. And the Tree of Life, my favourite pagan symbol of them all!
My next door neighbour has a beautiful silver birch, which I should really do something similar with. And then there is the cherry tree down the path that scatters pink blossom every spring.
I must get out this autumn and photograph the changing foliage. I recently acquired a didymium “red enhancer” filter to help bring out all the contrasting colours
